Park Kioto

Park Kioto

Park Kioto is situated near Lisova metro station, which is the far end of the red line metro. It used to be a strap of grass and trees bordering off the nearby Brovary city-outbound highway. Then Japanese Embassy came along and in the sign of friendship and stronger relations between the countries agreed to beautify the area. With financial support from the Japanese Embassy, the Park was efficiently modernized.

Traditional Japanese cherry trees or sakura were planted that each spring become the site of attraction for many city dvellers.

Very neat lanes were laid that keep feet dry and allow a convenient walk even in nasty weather.

Cozy benches were lined up along the lanes to accommodate as many park visitors as possible and now ivy runs around them providing shadows in summer.

Many old pine trees were preserved, trimmed and gotten rid of old branches.
